El Salvador with Sports Outreach - December 2023
You have an incredible life-changing opportunity to take part in a Movement vision trip in partnership with Sports Outreach. This trip will include our Movement school staff and Movement employees. If spots are available family members are welcome to join.
This trip is for you if:
- You love sports and playing with kids
- Enjoy learning about new cultures and building intentional relationships
- You're willing to roll up your sleeves and help out with a construction project
- You want to gain a fresh perspective on life and be encouraged and challenged in new ways
What you’ll do:
- Community Outreach: sports and games with children, and home visits
- EmpowerME program: packing and distributing groceries
- Sports Outreach Women's program
- Special Needs Orphanage: spending time with the children and assisting with their feeding program
- Soccer Academy: help with coaching and playing soccer with the kids
About El Salvador and the ministry:
Sports Outreach is all about restoring hope and transforming lives. Their mission is to recruit, train, equip and deploy leaders in the effective use of sports ministry for the purposes of sharing the Gospel and alleviating human suffering.
We see vision trip teams as an opportunity to connect people to our mission field so they can see firsthand the restoration of hope and the transformation of lives!

*The cost is $2000 which includes flight cost. This covers all travel, lodging, meals and ministry expense.
**Movement employees will receive a $500 grant. The grant is not available for family members. If this is your first vision trip with Movement you may be eligible for 2 days of PTO.
***CEO of Movement Schools, KTT and Superintendent, Jenika Mullen will be leading this trip.

Requirements
Prerequisites
- Passport- All team members will need to have a valid passport to travel to El Salvador. If an individual’s passport expires within SIX months of the return date, then he/she needs to plan to renew the passport. Passport information can be found on the US Department of State’s website (https://travel.state.gov/content/passports/en/passports.html)
Restrictions
- You must be a Movement employee or family member of an employee in order to be eligible for this opportunity.
Preparation
- It is important that you plan to make a visit with your local physician for guidance on medications and vaccinations in relation to your personal health.
