Albeit a short visit to this amazing place, the communities we were able to visit in Quito were such a blessing. I still can't recall ever smiling so much my face hurt. Everyone we encountered were loving and welcoming. Having daily orientations of all the different organizations Education=Hope is involved with, helped us digest how vast their reach is. Not only in Quito, but all the other places they serve as well. Short term missions like these force you to get to know others on your trip and develop an unspoken bond that helped unite us through the work we were given the opportunity to do. On the surface, some new paint, helping with homework and playing in the park seems like simple acts of kindness but the depth of relationships and engagement we were able to experience was a spoil of riches.
