We have been back from Thailand for 2 weeks now and I still think about it every day. I have had the privilege to go on many mission's trips over the years, but this experience pulled at my heart in a different way. The people in Thailand are so full of kindness and joy. And wow, is it contagious. I felt myself smiling and laughing so freely it hurt at times. Just spending time with the kids, playing games and doing crafts brought so much happiness to us. We couldn't even speak much to each other, but we didn't need to. It's amazing to me how kids can be so full of life and hope while living in such different and difficult, even painful circumstances. I walked away feeling so inspired to live my life that way. That no matter what happens to me, I can choose joy. It was such a beautiful thing to witness. I can honestly say that I am forever connected to the people I met there and I'm so thankful to be a small part of an organization that is making a difference, in real people's lives everyday. I can't wait to go back.
