My Mexican Daughter

All I can say is WOW! What an experience! What I loved about this trip to La Paz was the Mexican culture of community and relationships. Pete told us if all we did was come and just were there in community, then our trip was a success! We accomplished that and much more! In our day of service with the children in "Kid's Club" where we spent the day cleaning up one of the neighborhood parks, I developed a strong bond with my Mexican Daughter, Diana. I fell in love with this little girl the minute I saw her and worked side by side with her at the park. To commit to the sense of community and relationships, I have decided that I will continue to go to La Paz every opportunity I have!

I ask that you keep Diana and her sister, Monica in your prayers. Pray that these little girls know God and the love he has for them and that His love deliver them from any life that may be destructive. Pray that they continue to have the faith that the Lord is there with them always and will protect them. I want the best life has to offer them and all of the other children there! Pray that the Lord provide for all of their needs so that they never go without a roof over their heads, food to feed them and water to hydrate them. Pray that their parents will always be parents to them and that they are delivered from any destructive lifestyle they may be living as many of these children's parents are addicted to drugs and have been engulfed into a life of prostitution.

God Bless each and every one of you and may God Bless the people living in poverty in La Paz!
